Owners of smaller dairy herds will have a chance to hear tailored advice to improve their business at a conference in Taranaki.
The Smaller Milk and Supply Herds conference begins on Wednesday.
More than half of the country's dairy herds have 350 cows or less.
Waikato dairy farmer Tony Allcock says it is important for owners to share ideas and to feel part of the bigger industry.
More conferences are being held in Northland on Friday, in Waikato on 13 June and in Hokitika on 11 July.
