The latest rural real estate figures show continuing demand for dairy properties throughout the country.
In the three months ending February, 77 dairy farms were sold at a median price of just over $33,000 per hectare.
The median size of the dairy farms being sold was 119 hectares.
The Real Estate Institute says there continues to be good demand for dairy farms, especially for well-irrigated farms in Canterbury.
