A boy is in Waikato Hospital in a critical condition after having being stung by wasps.

The Waikato Rescue Helicopter was sent to a farm near Hinuera about 1.30pm today.
A St Johns paramedic treated the 13-year-old boy at the scene.
Once the boy's condition stabilised he was flown, with his mother to Waikato Hospital for urgent treatment.
