An elderly man who was attacked in his home north of Auckland has left hospital after treatment for bumps and bruises.
Police say the 79-year old was knocked to the ground, assaulted and tied up after he answered his door at his Wellsford home last night.
They said his attackers went through his house and then stole two of his vehicles.
The man freed himself and went to a neighbour's house for help.
He was now being cared for elsewhere by family.
Two 16 year olds and a 15 year old were due to appear in the North Shore District Court today charged with kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
