Police in Christchurch have arrested a man accused of defrauding his employer.
A construction company laid a complaint when accounting irregularities were discovered in the year to October.
It is alleged the employee received more than $139,000 from 16 customers by issuing invoices with a personal bank account number for payments to be made to.
A 26-year-old Christchurch man has been charged with theft and will appear in Christchurch District Court today.
