Poll shows National with commanding lead

The latest 3 News Reid Research poll still has National with a commanding lead over Labour.

However, support for John Key as preferred Prime Minister has slipped slightly.

He has registered 45.8% the lowest since he became National Party leader.

New Labour Party leader David Shearer debuts at 10.1%.

In the party vote National is down more than three points to 47.5%.

Labour is up three to 29.4%.

The poll was taken over a week in February when asset sales and the Crafar farms dominated the political debate.

It has a margin of error of 3.1% and surveyed 1000 people.
