Health Minister Tony Ryall says the drive for faster access by patients to key services like surgery, will continue over the next three years.
Mr Ryall says reducing the maximum waiting times for surgery and specialist assessments will be a major priority for the Government this term, along with changes in primary care aimed at helping achieve this.
He says health funding will rise in the next Budget, but finances remain tight and the focus on belt-tightening and better productivity and efficiency will remain.
