A man who tried to jump into Parliament's debating chamber from the public gallery on Wednesday afternoon has been arrested for breaching the peace.
A parliamentary security guard was injured trying to prevent the man jumping over the railings at the end of question time.
MPs watched in shock as security staff and members of the public restrained the man after he'd got his leg over the top railing.
The protester was arrested for breaching the peace and taken to Wellington Central Police station.
He was assessed by health authorities and the police say he is unlikely to be charged.
