The Health Minister has had to correct the record over the publication of corrected clinical performance data.

Te Whatu Ora removed all of its data in March after incorrect data was published on its website - republishing it last Thursday.

At Question Time earlier on Wednesday, Dr Ayesha Verrall said the role of her office was to request Te Whatu Ora publish the correct data.

Verrall returned to correct the record Wednesday evening, saying Te Whatu Ora had reported a provisional date for the data to be released on 5 July - but a staff member in her office said it should not be released that week due to other announcements.

"I have told my staff that they should not have given that direction. It is my expectation it does not happen again," she said.

It came after Education Minister Jan Tinetti was reprimanded through the Privileges Committee for failing to correct a false statement quickly enough.
