Prime Minister John Key has reappointed former High Court judge Sir John Jeffries as New Zealand's Commissioner of Security Warrants.
The position has oversight of the Security Intelligence Service.
Sir John has served in the role since 2009.
His appointment was made after consultation with the Leader of the Opposition Phil Goff.
