Lynne Pillay to retire from Parliament

Labour MP Lynne Pillay will step down as an MP at the end of the term.

Ms Pillay says she's decided to retire from Parliament so she can spend more time with her family.

Lynne Pillay has held the Waitakere seat for Labour since she entered Parliament in 2002.

She is Labour's spokesperson on Disability Issues, and a member of the Justice and Electoral Committee.
