New ministers sworn in

Four new ministers were sworn in at Government House this morning after new Prime Minister Bill English's Cabinet reshuffle.

Mr English named his new Cabinet line-up on Sunday, after being sworn in as Prime Minister last week following the shock resignation of John Key.

Alfred Ngaro, Jacqui Dean, Mark Mitchell and David Bennett were sworn in while other ministers had their portfolios officially changed at the ceremony.

They include Simon Bridges, who takes up Economic Development, Amy Adams who has responsibility for Social Housing and Housing New Zealand, and Louise Upston who takes on Corrections.

Anne Tolley gets the new portfolio of Minister for Children, and Steven Joyce becomes the Finance Minister.
