Maori Party MP Hone Harawira says he's not impressed by Labour's change of tune on the Foreshore and Seabed Act.
In a submission to a review of the Act, Labour is recommending iwi be given back the right to apply for customary title via the Maori Land Court.
Mr Harawira told Waatea News that Labour should never have passed the Act in the first place.
Former Treaty negotiations minister Michael Cullen won't say that Labour got things wrong with the law, but he says compromises were made at the time that have never been accepted by Maori.
