Intelligence and security committee named

Prime Minister John Key has named the members of Parliament's intelligence and security committee.

Mr Key will be joined on the committee by four party leaders - Rodney Hide of the ACT Party, the Maori Party's Tariana Turia, Labour's Phil Goff and Green Party co-leader Russel Norman.

The committee is responsible for Parliament's oversight of New Zealand's intelligence services, including the Security Intelligence Service.
