Since then, he has been embroiled in defamation cases and spats with former party members.

Mr Craig was also blamed for a raft of members leaving after he held a news conference admitting 'inappropriate conduct' between him and his former press secretary.

Colin Craig donated over $14,000 to the party in October and then another $22,000 in December.
