The bill, in the name of the National MP, Chris Bishop, would provide financial assistance to people who donate organs for altruistic reasons.

It was one of four members' bills drawn from the ballot at Parliament today.

Another, in the name of Mr Bishop's colleague, Matt Doocey, aims to provide more transparency to people who are paid to collect money and signatures in public.

A members' bill sponsored by Labour's Stuart Nash would reinstate the requirement for affected people to be polled about local government amalgamations.

And New Zealand First MP Denis O'Rourke is sponsoring a bill that would link superannuation entitlements to residence and the length of time people spent in New Zealand as an adult.
