More people think the economy is going to get worse according to a new poll.
The One News Colmar Brunton poll of 1000 people covers the period from 4 - 9 October.
It shows 42% think that during the next 12 months the economy will be worse than it is at present - up from 38% three months ago.
However, 38% believe the economy will improve over the next year - compared to 44% expressing optimism three months ago.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
