Labour Party president says she is pleased the election campaign is starting to focus more on the issues that matter to New Zealanders rather than the contents of the book Dirty Politics.

Moira Coatsworth said people are responding to party leader David Cunliffe's speeches about issues such as jobs, affordable homes and a decent start for children.
She said voters are not interested in the petty side of politics, such as those stirred up by Nicky Hager's book Dirty Politics.
"There are really important issues for our country going forward, the future of New Zealand is at stake, so I'm really pleased that were running a positive campaign on the issues that matter to New Zealanders."
Labour is looking for a lift in the polls, and that the remaining three weeks of the campaign will be busy, Ms Coatsworth said.
