The Eastern Suburbs Football Cub in Auckland is excited about their two Fijian signings ahead of the 2025 Northern League season.
Fiji national reps Thomas Dunn and Sterling Vasconcellos have joined the club from Fijian Premier League sides Navua FC and Lautoka FC respectively.
Dunn, 21 years old, has been a regular for his Navua side in the local premier football league, while also cementing his place in the senior national side, after his debut for Fiji at the 2023 Pacific Games in a 10-0 win over the Northern Mariana Islands.
Vasconcellos, 19, was part of the Lautoka FC side that won the Fijian Premier League in 2023.
The Lilywhites head coach Michael Built is excited by the creativity and versatility that both Dunn and Vasconcellos bring to the team.
"Thomas Dunn and Sterling Vasconcellos are both promising young talents out of Fiji that we are delighted to have join us at Eastern Suburbs for the upcoming season," Built said on the club's website.
"Both players have been influential throughout Fiji's youth system and are now key players within the Fijian senior national team.
"Thomas Dunn is a quick, direct attacking player with the ability to play anywhere in midfield. Thomas will add a lot of creativity to the squad and will be someone to watch this season.
"Sterling Vasconcellos on the other hand is a strong, athletic tenacious defender that will bring a huge presence to the defensive unit this season.
"We are delighted to have Thomas and Sterling join us at Eastern Suburbs and we're looking forward to seeing them showcase their talent this season."
Dunn played for Australian side Frankston Pines for a season, before returning to Navua in Fiji, making his mark on the local scene.
He also trialled at A-League Men's side Sydney FC, before returning home to Fiji at Navua FC.
Vasconcellos has spent his whole career with Lautoka FC, progressing through the youth ranks and joining the first team as a 16-year-old in 2022.
Fijian head coach Rob Sherman called the then 17-year-old centre-back up in November 2023, where he made his debut against the North Mariana Islands at the Pacific Games in Honiara.
Both players have started training with the Lilywhites for the upcoming 2025 Northern League season.
