French Polynesia records one more Covid-19 case, now 35.
There has been another confirmed Covid-19 infection in French Polynesia, raising the total to 35.
Two of the carriers are in hospital care.
Yesterday, the authorities confirmed that the virus had spread to Rangiroa in the Tuamotus.
Last week, several students flying back from Tahiti for the expected lockdown were said to have symptoms and were isolated.
A nightly nine-hour curfew will be enforced until 15 April to help stop the spread virus.
The government said it was moving the Covid-19 patient diagnosed on Rangiroa to Tahiti.
The person was the only one of the territory's 35 carriers to be in the outer islands.
An Air Archipel plane was being chartered for the evacuation after which the person would be isolated for two weeks.
Meanwhile, the French High Commission says two people will face the courts for breaching the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19.
One man, who was stopped for a check in Paea, in Tahiti and failed to produce a written attestation allowing him to be out in public, attacked the police officers.
He was detained to face a range of charges, including rebellion, violence against officials, breach of confinement and damage to public property.
If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.
In Punaauia in Tahiti, another man was taken into custody for violating the restrictions by being out in the street and for sexual exhibitionism.
He risks one year in jail.
