There were 20 new community cases of Covid-19 reported today, down from 28 yesterday.

But there was also one more death, with a woman in her 90s passing away last night.

The Ministry of Health said the woman had a number of underlying health conditions, which meant it was not clinically appropriate for her to receive ventilator or ICU care.

There are now 43 cases in Auckland's hospitals, with seven in ICU.
