Police in Gisborne have named the man who was stabbed to death at a house in the city on Tuesday night.
Head of the investigation Detective Sergeant Kevin Ford says Lawrence Teepa-Moon, 33, died of a singe stab wound to the neck.
His partner, 30, who was arrested in Opotiki Wednesday is charged with his murder.
Mr Ford says there was a small party at the house in the suburb of Elgin, where the stabbing followed a disagreement between Mr Teepa-Moon and his partner.
