A man has been killed after the logging truck he was driving rolled near Christchurch.
Sergeant Mike Brooklands, of Kaiapoi, says officers were called to Demmocks Road in Ashley Forest, about 60km north of Christchurch, about 10am on Friday.
Mr Brooklands says the logging truck lost control and rolled. The driver was the only person in the truck and next-of-kin have been told.
Commercial vehicle and serious crash investigators are at the scene on Friday afternoon.
