A police officer in Huntly had clumps of her hair pulled out when she and a colleague were attacked.
Police say they were set upon by four people after responding to a dispute at a Glen Afton house early on Friday.
One of the officers had some of her hair ripped from her scalp. She was also struck on the head.
Police say a brother and sister were pepper-sprayed and arrested.
They will appear in Hamilton District Court charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest, obstruction and threatening to kill.
