Two men are facing charges after a brawl in Auckland's Viaduct that has left another man in a coma on Friday.

Police say the injured 34-year-old man fell to the ground during an incident near the Spy Bar on the waterfront about 1.30am.

Two men, both 36, will appear in the Auckland District Court on Friday afternoon charged with assault.

One man is also being charged with possession of methamphetamine, also known as "P".

Police say further arrests are likely once they have finished reviewing security footage.
