A psychiatric report has been ordered for a Christchurch man facing a charge of murder.
The 54-year-old appeared in the Rangiora District Court on Wednesday charged over the death of a 47-year-old woman whose body was found in the suburb of Spreydon on Tuesday night.
He was remanded to a psychiatric institution and is due to reappear in court on 12 October.
