Another body was found at Lake Arapuni on Sunday morning. It is believed to be that of a second fisherman who went missing two weeks ago.
Jordan Pooley, 21, and James Roberts, 45, embarked on a fishing trip on 28 August. The alarm was raised three days later.
The first body was found at the lake on Friday.
Both bodies are to undergo a post-mortem examination in Auckland.
Police say formal identification is expected to be completed by early next week.
