A magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred in Marlborough on Saturday.
It was centred 50km north-east of Hanmer Springs at 12.33pm, 12km deep.
GeoNet says it was likely felt in the upper South Island.
A smaller quake measuring magnitude 3.2 was recorded 10km south-east of Hanmer Springs at 11.04am on Monday. It was at a depth of 8km.
