Police in Feilding have arrested a man over a series of fires in the Manawatu town over the past six months.
The 26-year-old from Palmerston North has been charged with seven counts of arson and one of theft.
Police say the arrest follows an extensive investigation, with help from the Fire Service, a Feilding promotional body and local authorities.
The man will appear in the Palmerston North District Court on Friday.
