An Orion aircraft made an emergency landing at Blenheim airport on Thursday after one of its engines was shut down.
Woodbourne Air Force Base says it received an emergency call from the Chilean Navy plane aircraft on Thursday afternoon and sent several fire engines and ambulances to the airport. The plane landed safely.
Warrant Officer John Bray says it's not clear what caused the shutdown. He says the plane is in Blenheim for maintenance and was on a test flight at the time of the emergency.
