The Ministry of Education and unions have settled the area school teachers' collective agreement.
The proposed deal provides an average pay rise of 2.8% over 22 months, plus a $300 payment.
The settlement will now be put to teachers working in more than 90 schools that have both primary and secondary school-age students.
It is similar to agreements reached by primary and secondary teachers in the past six months.
