Civil Aviation Authority investigators will on Sunday morning begin trying to establish the cause of a fatal gyrocopter crash in Northland.
A man died when the aircraft crashed into a paddock on a dairy farm north of Kaitaia on Saturday.
A second man is in Whangarei Hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Authority, Bill Sommer, says two investigators will start by looking at the wreckage.
He says they will also be talking to the emergency services and trying to find eyewitnesses.
