Barfoot and Thompson says the average weekly rent in Auckland eased by $13 per week to $421 in April compared with March.
Managing director Peter Thompson says the decline was expected, as demand for property normally quietens in April.
Despite the fall, April's average weekly rent is $23 higher than it was a year ago.
