Police in Auckland have seized almost 70kg of the pre-curser drug used to make methamphetamine.
Three Chinese nationals, two of whom were on student visas, were arrested in raids at several properties this week.
They have appeared in the Auckland District Court charged with participating in an organised criminal group, importing a class C controlled drug and possession for supply.
Detective Senior Sergeant Bruce Howard says the amount of psuedoephedrine seized would make between 13kg - 20kg of methamphetamine, also known as 'P', with a street value of up to $20 million.
He says inquiries are continuing to be made in New Zealand and China and is hopeful of further arrests.
The accused have been remanded in custody to reappear later in May.
