The Government is committing $2 million to a recycling campaign for the Rugby World Cup.

About 340 permanent bins and 1700 temporary ones are being placed in 25 regions.

Environment Minister Nick Smith says Love NZ will carry on after the World Cup.

He says the aim is to make recycling more of a habit in city centres.
