Lotto Powerball jackpots to $32 million

5:42 am on 3 April 2011

Lotto Powerball has jackpotted to $32-million, after there was no winner for Saturday's Powerball First Division prize of $28 million.

NZ Lotteries chief executive Todd McLeay says that means a "Must be Won" week has been called.

That means if the Powerball First Division prize isn't won next week, then the money will be added to that of the next highest Powerball prize division where there are winners, and shared amongst those people.

It will be only the fifth time in the game's history that a "Must be Won" week has been held.

Meanwhile, a Lotto player from Te Puke won a Lotto First Division prize of $1 million on Saturday.

The winning Lotto ticket was sold at Te Puke Four Square.
