People evacuated because of a gas leak in Warkworth, near Auckland, have been able to return home.
About 100 people were forced to leave their homes and businesses when a gas pipe was damaged by a contractor using a digger at 11.15am on Monday.
Gas company Vector has stopped the leak and says repairs will be finished in the afternoon.
Vector says gas supplies to residents and businesses on Woodcock Road are not affected.
