Armed bank robbery in Feilding

4:17 pm on 25 January 2011

A bank has been robbed in the Manawatu town of Feilding.

Police say a person walked into the BNZ on the corner of Manchester and Fergusson streets and presented a firearm to a teller, demanding money, about 12.45pm on Tuesday.

A quantity of cash was handed over.

No one was injured but the teller was shaken by the incident.

The person was wearing a full-face motorcylce helmut and had ridden a red motorbike onto the footpath and left it running.

Police say it is not known if the person is male or female. They are described as a slim Pakeha, wearing blue overalls and black footwear.
