Auckland Transport is pledging to plug almost every pothole on the region's key roads within a day of them being reported.
It's again rolling out its pre-summer Pothole Promise campaign - 95 percent of potholes on Auckland's arterial and high-volume regional roads fixed within 24 hours.
Potholes on other sealed roads will be filled within five working days.
Auckland Transport (AT) said it was a "pre-summer pothole blitz".
"Last year, our contractors repaired more than 6000 potholes across the region and we are committed to repairing them as quickly as possible," AT said.
This time, it wants people to send a photo with their reports.
"Photos make a big difference in helping our crews find the exact location and understand the severity of the pothole," AT's Alan Wallace said.
He said giving an email address also meant AT can follow up with people if the location wasn't clear, and it could let people know when a pothole has been fixed.
The 24-hour response time applies to the region's main traffic routes which carry more than 10,000 vehicles a day across 1400km of sealed roads.
Its campaign runs from 20 October to 16 November.
Auckland Transport said more funding from both Auckland Council and the government meant it was also boosting preventative road maintenance.
