Three people are injured following a serious crash that has shut a highway in Waikato.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on State Highway 28's Whites Road near Putāruru about 5.20am on Friday.
Two people are in a critical condition and another is in a moderate condition.
The road is closed at both ends with motorists being diverted via the State Highway 1 and State Highway 5 intersections.
