Two people have been injured in an assault in Waihi in Waikato.
Police were called to Amaranth Street just after 11am.
A spokesperson said the people involved were known to each other, and one person was arrested at the scene.
St John treated two patients in a moderate condition.
One was taken to Tauranga Hospital, and the other to Thames Hospital.
Police said they were working to establish what occurred.
