At least one person is seriously injured after a crash on the highway near Shannon.
Emergency services were called to State Highway 57 north of Kara Road about 4.50pm, when a car crashed into a barrier.
State Highway 57 was closed between the intersections of Opiki Road and Sheehan Street, but the Transport Agency says it has now reopened.
