Police car not responding to a job when it crashed into fence in Napier

A police patrol car was not responding to a job when it crashed into a person's fence in Napier, police confirm.

No one was injured in the crash which happened about 11am on Monday on Geddis Ave in Maraenui.

A police spokesperson said the police car collided with a fence and was not responding to a job at the time.

The circumstances of how and why the crash happened were being investigated, the spokesperson said, including the damage to the car.
