A prisoner who spent the night on the roof of an Otago Prison has come down.
Otago Corrections Facility general manager Dave Miller said the remand prisoner got up on the roof at 12.45pm on Wednesday.
He voluntarily came down at 7.30am on Thursday.
Miller said the prisoner would be "held to account".
He has been placed in segregation and was being assessed.
The prisoner's arm is believed have been injured while he was jumping around.
Earlier, Corrections staff were talking with the prisoner.
