A cyclist has been critically injured after an incident on a busy inner Auckland road.
Police said emergency services were at the scene of an "incident" on Tamaki Drive, Parnell, after a cyclist was injured just before 3pm.
Shortly before 4pm they had left.
Traffic heading away from the city, towards Ngapipi Rd, was blocked for a short time while emergency services were at the scene, a spokesperson said.
"Please expect delays this afternoon, or take an alternative route if possible."
No vehicles had been involved in the incident, police said.
