A serious crash has closed a main road in Bay of Plenty.
Police said Broadlands Road was closed between Ohaaki Road and Allen Road.
A spokesperson said police were called to the single-vehicle crash shortly before 6pm on Saturday.
They said "initial indications" suggested there had been serious injuries.
Diversions were in place around the closed section of road, police said on Saturday evening, but they asked motorists to avoid the area if possible.
