Auckland Council says the landslide that happened in Muriwai over the weekend hasn't had a significant impact.
Homes were temporarily evacuated after a slip undermined part of Motutara Road and brought down a power pole.
Auckland Council's chief engineer Ross Roberts told Midday Report that despite being reduced to one lane, Motutara Road is safe to drive through.
"There is always going to be some movement that happens after a landslide but it's not significant movement that's happening. It seems to be pretty stable at the moment," he said.
Roberts said they've evacuated one household and the owners are working with the council and their insurers to address safety issues.

Roberts says this landslide was small compared to slips in Muriwai in 2023 during Cyclone Gabrielle.
"The best thing that we are doing in Muriwai at the moment is the response that has been happening since 2023, which is to, where possible, move people out of the areas that are most dangerous. Along with that, comes other community planning that's going on and we are looking at what we can do in terms of infrastructure as well," Roberts said.
No one was injured in the landslide and it was being assessed by a geotech engineer.
