The pedestrian involved in a hit-and-run in Rotorua on Sunday has died in hospital, while police continue to hunt for the motorcyclist involved.
Rotorua police say the motorcyclist overtook a stationary car on Edmund Road on Sunday about 2.15pm, hitting the pedestrian.
The car was waiting for the 24-year-old victim to cross at a designated pedestrian crossing.
The motorcyclist fled the scene and police say investigators are continuing to comb through evidence.
They urge anyone with information to contact police.
