A person has died in Blenheim after ending up under their own car.
Emergency services are investigating how the crash at about 10.45am on Wednesday came about.
It happened in Lewis Street in Redwoodtown, a residential area.
Police said no other cars were involved.
Police initially reported that the victim was in a critical condition, but later confirmed they had died.
Lewis Street is closed for a scene examination.
