Police are renewing their appeal for information on the killing of a Feilding farmer four weeks ago, but deny their investigation has stalled.
Scott Guy, 31, was shot dead in the driveway of his Aorangi road home on the morning of 8 July.
Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger says someone in the community holds the key to solving the investigation.
Police still want to hear from anyone with information about three chocolate labrador puppies which are missing from Mr Guy's farm.
They also want to hear from the drivers of two vehicles seen on Aorangi road, heading towards Campbell road early on the morning Mr Guy was shot.
